Diabetes Care and Education Specialists are health professionals who possess comprehensive knowledge of and experience in diabetes management,
prediabetes, and diabetes prevention. Our ADCES's educate and support people affected by diabetes in order to understand and manage the condition.
They promote self-management to achieve individualized behavioral and treatment goals that optimize health outcomes. A Registered Nurse,
Registered Dietitian, Pharmacist or a Physician Assistant becomes a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist once they have enough
experience with Diabetes and they pass the Certification Exam conducted by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Education (NCBDE).
Cost is $120 per one hour session. Might be completely or partially reimbursable to you if you have a PPO Plan.
